Faker: Addicted Romantic

A nice and arty cover here for Faker’s debut album Addicted Romantic.

Mathematics informed me that the short deadline dictated the illustrative approach as they were called in after the initial commissioned artwork didn’t turn out. I love the blood which hints at the aggression in many of the songs found on the album. Initial pitched concepts for the booklet had the band members illustrated beaten, bruised and scarred but the band though it was a bit too much.

Also while it looks like Nathan, the lead singer, it’s actually an amalgamation of many found photos. It’s a coincidence it looks like him.
