Any idea if The Designers Republic (or whatever they are now) were responsible for the cover to his second album (http://binkythedoormat.com/post/106213242/just-spotted-this-the-new-jarv-album-on#disqus_thread)?

This cover is 'heavily' influenced by the cover of the penguin book 'Jubb' by Keith Waterhouse. Ive been looking online for a reference alas i cant find one. If you have the Seven Hundred Penguins book, its in there though - page 97. The typographic treatment, especially the arrow, is a direct take on the Jubb cover.
