Brilliant artwork! I love Pete Fowler's stuff and I love this. So whimsical.

Nice vid too - it reminds me of Yellow Submarine, and Wavetwisters.

You know what the tracks remind me of????
Anyone ever play Toejam and Earl on the Sega Megadrive?
They sound like epic versions of the background music of that game, crossed with the likes of Plaid and the Chemical Brothers old stuff

Hey all! Firstly, a big thanks for digging the artwork, much appreciated! Mike Mondays' quirky & theatrical beats made the brainstorming process easy to dive straight into. Track titles like "I Am Plankton", "The 11 11" & "Stargirl" conjure up all sorts of wild imagery. As a series it was really great fun to create.

As for the "Mafioso" comment, ha! When I enquired about the budget, Om Records were quick to tell me "half now, half when the job is done", and I was swiftly thrown a roll of cash (lol).... but really, it was more of a friend-of-a-friend type deal which soon turned into more of a passion project. So the budget wasn't really an issue. I enjoyed the direction the artwork was taking, so I didn't mind spending the extra hours on it.

I'm really looking forward to expanding the Mike Monday universe in the future, Sleevage will be the first to know!

Cute. It's kinda got this Japanese poster feel to it, like it's up on somebody's wall in Eastern Asia.

Man I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this site.

This cover really suits my taste. What a great designer!
But one can question how such a uncommercial artist can have such an expensive-looking campaign.. Mafioso?
