that was fun. to that guy who was complaining about 80's metal not making the list, that's because 80's hair metal was not that great. GnR is great, but bands like dokken or slade were like hip-hop today, just a fad. Grunge didn't “mess up the music scene”, it was a movement, just like the 70's punk rebellion, and by the way, at a time when MTV Unplugged couldn't get any of your pansy hair metal bands to go on, Kurt Cobain showed up and blew it out of the water.
