Supultura - Chaos AD

This album started an unholy obsession with both Sepultura and Michael Whelan’s art. I was actually put onto the band from the standout track Refuse/Resist, after seeing it used as the soundtrack for the Manga video promo seen below.

On the inside was the first time I had seen the Supultura logo. Which would have looked better on the cover as a spot varnish rather than the grungy font they used. But alas I wasn’t the designer of the cover.

I even have a T-Shirt from 1994 with this artwork on it and it’s looking pretty worn right now.

    First album I purchased with my own money. I had heard of Sepultura, but the purchase has driven almost entirely by the cover art. No regrets here

    I like the painting but the type is not very well designed, seems more of an afterthought. Great album though!

    It was great fun! plenty of development, some very heavy rain and strong winds as well as 1cm hail.
    I think it’s an absolutely vital tool. I have been intimately familiar now over the past decade with the cases of rendition that the U.S. Government has been involved in.
