This is the most iconic Dandy cover and it had never occurred to me that but of course it refers to a Warhol piece. (Or rather, it didn't click that Warhol did the Velvet Underground cover...) Combining it with one of the most unnecessarily controversial album covers ever, Sticky Fingers, is a BIG call for the quality of your own album. Very pastiche! In retrospect it's all so damn obvious now. Of course! This is the most iconic Dandy cover and it had never occurred to me that but of course it refers to a Warhol piece. (Or rather, it didn’t click that Warhol did the Velvet Underground cover…)
