Hans Zimmer: The Simpsons Movie Soundtrack
The one thing I couldn’t get out of my head when i saw The Simpsons Movie was the Spiderpig theme. I couldn’t wait to get the soundtrack so I could have it in all it’s glory. I was also excited to see the limited edition Donut Packaging.
Sadly I was disappointed a little on both. The Spiderpig song is only the 1 minute version, not the full one you hear as the titles roll and the donut doesn’t have a hole!
Their sneaky publicity photo (see below for what was on Amazon) hid the fact there was no hole. But it does come in a nice Krispy Kreme box and has a foldout poster.
Also they added a smell to the CD case so the whole thing smells like donuts. Well more like candy to me.

Looks like Danny Elfman’s lawyers complained as my version has a sticker on it that included “The Simpsons Theme” by Danny Elfman on it covering up the original which just mentioned Hans Zimmer.
Also I noticed Extreme Music’s logo on the back with all the other logos. They have some of a best packaging I’ve seen for their production music and I’ll endevour to do a post on this too.

They could’ve at least painted a white hole on. That just looks weird. Wrong color, too. It’s too purple. Ah, well. :P
